Kids & Teens

  • - Puppet Theater All Ages Presented the first Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. Brockway’s puppets and marionettes provide entertaining productions of great stories.
  • - Read with Major Troy the Miami Shores Police Dog Ages 4-8 Sign up for a 15-minute session to read with a Miami Shores Police Officer and Troy! Come read with Major Troy every 1st Thursday of the month between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • - FROST Museum @ Brockway STEM for Kids in Grades K-5 Meets the second Thursday of the month September-May from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. Must register.
  • - MOCA Art for Teens This art program for teens is held as a multiple-week series each spring. Please call for more information.
  • - Saturday Storytime Ages 4-7 is Held on the third Saturday of the month September –May from 10:30-11:15 am. Children can listen to a story and enjoy a craft to follow. Please register.
  • - Village Kids Book Club Ages 7-10 Held the third Thursday of every month from 4 pm-5 pm. Children discuss great books. Participants receive a copy of the current month’s selection, subject to availability. Please register. Must be Brockway Memorial Library members.
  • - Annual Summer Program for Kids Ages 4 and older Weekly fun June-August. Pick up a brochure when summer begins! Free. Registration required. Must be Brockway Memorial Library members.



Adults & Seniors

  • - The Brockway Reading Circle Meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. to discuss noteworthy & popular books. Registered club members only.
  • - Travel and Recipe Club Meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. Members go on a literary journey as they read about different places and share recipes from around the world. Please call to join! Hosted by Teresita Harrington.
  • - Miami Seed Share at Brockway, visit or call ahead to order from an outstanding collection of native heirloom seeds to grow in your own garden. Only take what you have time and love to grow and be sure to return the mature seeds from your harvest back to the catalog!
  • - The Library is a proud partner of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at FIU, which provides educational experiences and social engagement opportunities for members of the community 50+ years of age.   • - Needle Arts Club Meets Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. Friends gather to sew, knit, and embroider. No formal instruction – simply bring your own materials and projects.
  • - Mystery at the Library Book Club This book club is perfect for mystery lovers! Meets monthly on the third Thursday at 10 a.m. Hosted by Marguerita Hart. Please call for details and to register.
  • - NEW! Brigadiers Club
