Permits are required for the exclusive use of fields, facilities, or tot lot pavilion. Permits are issued to residents only, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations must be made in person and proof of residency is required. No pets are allowed at any park or facility. No smoking permitted in our parks.

Rental/Permit
The fees below will be charged for issuing a permit for any adult group and in certain circumstances, youth groups requesting usage of a Recreation Services Department operated field. Miami Shores Residents only. Facility renter must be present during the entire rental.
Policies
1. Fields hours: 9AM – Sunset/Monday – Saturday | 12 Noon – Sunset/Sundays
2. Fields are available to the public for open play, on a first come first serve basis, (permit not needed) UNLESS:
a) exclusive use desired
b) field is closed for maintenance
c) field is closed due to weather conditions
d) field is permitted to another user
e) Use entails instruction/teaching, drills or training aids such as cones, flags, ladders, ropes, mats, etc.
f) officials and/or uniforms used
g) if 12 or more users are on the field
3. Instruction/teaching is prohibited unless a permit is obtained or entity has Village approval. Instructors must provide level II background screen results.
4. Organized play (uniforms, official, etc.) not affiliated with Miami Shores Recreation Department users, shall require a permit, and Approved insurance if required.
5. No person shall engage in any commercial activity for compensation, within the limits of any Recreation area, unless acting as a subcontractor through Miami Shores Recreation Department or approved by Recreation Department.
6. Business advertisement must be approved prior to rental. (i.e. signage)
7. Fields are to be used per their design and intended purpose. Activities deemed dangerous, improper or that violate the designated/intended use of the facility (for example but not limited to, motorized toy cars, rocket launching, golf, etc.) are prohibited.
8. Failure to comply with the Recreation Department and/or Village policies will result in removal from facility.
9. Refunds will be provided for permits cancelled by the Athletic Department due to inclement weather causing field closure.
** Additional $15.00 per hour if staff is required.

Court Rental
The fees below will be charged for issuing a rental for any group requesting usage of the Miami Shores court (Basketball & Pickleball). Miami Shores Residents only.
Policies

4. The courts are available to rent for birthday parties. Miami Shores Residents only. (No alcoholic beverages, music, grills or live animals are permitted.)

Indoor Facility Rental
The fees below will be charged for issuing a rental for any group requesting usage of the Miami Shores Indoor facilities. Miami Shores Residents only; Facility renter must be present during the entire rental.
Policies
1. Proof of residency of Miami Shores Village is required.
2. All rentals begin at the time stated on the facility rental permit and clean up must be completed by the time stated on the facility permit.
3. Facility rentals must end at 10:00PM and renter may stay until 11:00pm for cleanup.
4. No Alcohol permitted.
5. Includes set-up of tables and chairs. Round tables are not available; you may bring them in from an outside vendor. Facility renters are responsible for set-up of outside equipment.
6. Facility Renters are permitted to hire outside disc jockeys, bands, and caterers; Renters must comply with Village codes regarding permissible noise levels in public places.
7. Includes the use of the kitchen facilities for reheating and refrigeration. (If available)
8. Facility renters staying past their rental times will be charged an additional fee. This fee will be deducted from the security deposit.
9. Decorations: Facility renters are permitted to use decorations, but all decorations must be taken down. NO CONFETTI, GLITTER or FOG Machines permitted.
10. Clean Up: Facility needs to be left clean. All food and garbage needs to be tied up in plastic bags and left on the outside patio. Any food or drink needs to be cleaned up from tables, chairs and floors.
11. Damages: All facility renters will be charged for any damages done to the rooms, kitchen and bathrooms which have occurred during the rental.
12. Damage Deposit: All facility renters will be charged a security deposit. If any damage occurs to the rooms, kitchen and/or bathrooms, damages will be deducted from the deposit.
13. No loitering by rental attendees before, during or after the rental is allowed in the parking lot. If attendees are found loitering in the parking lot the rental attendee will be subject to removal by the police department and the facility renter will forfeit their deposit.

Tot Lot Pavilion Rental
Rental for any group requesting usage of the Miami Shores tot lot pavilion. Miami Shores Residents only. Facility renter must be present during the entire rental.
Policies
1. The Tot Lot Pavilion is available for birthday parties or picnics. Rental fee is for the pavilion only. All other playground areas will be open to the public.
2. Renters are permitted to have inflatables (Bounce house, etc.) no larger than 15’x15’, to be placed in the northeast corner of the Tot Lot mulch area. Vendor must provide a certificate of insurance naming Miami Shores Village additionally insure.
3. No alcohol, amplified music, DJ’s, microphones, grills or live animals are permitted.
4. Decorations: Facility renters are permitted to use decorations, but all decorations must be taken down. NO CONFETTI or GLITTER ALLOWED. Any food, drinks and decorations must be clean up after rental.
5. No Parking permitted on swales. Overflow parking located on the north side of playing fields.
