Stormwater Management

The Stormwater Management Program at Miami Shores Village is a comprehensive initiative aimed at efficiently and responsibly managing stormwater runoff within our community while rigorously adhering to compliance standards. We are committed to maintaining full compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and the MS4 Permit issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Our program encompasses a range of strategies, including the regular inspection and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure, the implementation of sustainable stormwater design practices, and robust public education and outreach efforts to engage our residents in responsible stormwater management practices. By addressing both water quantity and quality concerns, our program not only reduces the risk of flooding but also ensures the protection of local water bodies, fostering a healthier and more resilient environment for our community while meeting regulatory requirements.
